Welcome to Novacon
Novacon is the UK's longest-established regional science fiction convention, held every autumn since 1971. It's built around a single-stream programme mixing both literary items and more informal events, with deliberate emphasis on social contact between sf fans and genre professionals. We moved to a new venue in 2009: the Park Inn, 296 Mansfield Road, Nottingham, NG5 2BT. Note: The Committee decided not to raise the membership rate after Easter, leaving it at £40.00.
Our Guest of Honour: Iain M Banks
Novacon 40 is delighted to welcome British science fiction Iain M Banks as its guest of honour. Every member of Novacon 40 will receive a limited-edition souvenir chapbook written by Iain. In addition, we are pleased to announce Brian W Aldiss will be joining us as our special guest. Unfortunately, Harry Harrison is currently unable to attend, due to health reasons.
